The
Photo Contest: "Spinning
Wheels"
"Spinning Wheels" conjured up a variety of ideas for imagery. We
liked "Mesh," by
Ruel John T. Landrito, MD. It is classic shot of an amusement park
ride using a long shutterspeed to capture the motion of the spinning
Ferris wheel. Mr. Landrito is from the Philippines. Sadly, such a shot
is no longer possible in most US amusement parks, where photographers
with tripods are likely to be escorted off the grounds by security
personnel.
Our
Runner-up this contest was Carol Kelly for her image "Spinning Clay." It
is a nicely done shot and was unique in its interpretation of the theme.
