Michael Fulks
Michael established his photography studio in Conifer, Colorado in 1987, and began teaching Basic Photography and Fine Art Photography at Colorado Free University in Denver. In 1995, he began teaching Basic Photography at Red Rocks Community College. He now teaches Digital Photography I and II, Digital Darkroom I and II, Studio Lighting as well as one of the last Basic Photography classes based on traditional film and "wet" lab. In addition to course design and teaching, Michael has written many articles on photography and psychology. He also teaches private workshops concentrating on photographing the nude. He is often asked to judge photo competitions at local schools and camera clubs, and he is one of the judges of the Black and White Spider Photography Awards, an international competition of black and white photography. He presently lives in Westminster, Colorado where he continues to shoot studio portraits and nudes. Michael
Fulks, publisher of Apogee Photo Magazine, was born in Phoenix,
Arizona, and went to the University of Colorado in Boulder,
Colorado. He also attended Sophia University in Tokyo, and earned a
Masters Degree in Education from Seton Hall University, in South
Orange, New Jersey.
