Noella, I would like to thank you in helping me open my eyes and my brain for that matter.  I haven’t had to think this hard for my images before but I definitely see the benefits in doing so.  I have seen an improvement and now it is a matter of implementing these new ideas continually in my future images.”

"..... I would like to offer some of my complaints to you and anyone else "listening": When I signed up for this on-line class I didn't quite know what to expect, but I expected something kind of "sterile" and "matter of fact". It has been anything but those. The class has been very educational and personal."  "The bottom line complaint is that you just don't leave me anything to complain about! Thank you."

"I have found that this class has given me more confidence to try new things – there is no wrong answer – or photo (and no one has to see every photo on the camera!). I have started to let go of needing to capture the perfect photo the first time round. I have started to forgive myself for photos that don’t work!"

"Technically speaking, I would work more with my depth-of-field. Aperture priority was a huge help here. I tend to use that setting more now than before I took this class. However, I was more inclined to use it with my 35mm film camera than the digital. Go figure."

"It’s also important to trust yourself, your own style and what you like to visualize. It’s okay to make mistakes and learn from them."

"I have learned to be a bit more critical of my own work, as well as learning to see with a more educated eye."

"A real value for the money..."

"I gained a lot of basic knowledge regarding taking photographs."

"I enjoyed the challenges that each class offered. I also found that the comments about the photos were very helpful and instructive, not just a rote comment that I have received in other classes."

"Thank you. It so edifying to see my images through your eyes. I can see things that I would not have thought of. I have found that as I've taken images lately I have been incorporating those thought processes, so your teaching has been a success. I so appreciate your taking this extra time with me, it has been priceless."

"This class has been very rewarding."

"I would like to say a BIG thank you to Noella for arranging another great course....I've already joined the next elements of design course. In fact, I would also like to join the next one in order to follow the whole series."

"The class made me go out and take images that I would not have considered taking otherwise."

"I learned or refreshed my memory on how to see and compose a picture. I've felt stale and this class inspired me."

"I learned to really "see" what I'm photographing."

"The class has exposed me to different areas of photography that I have not been involved with and it forced me to get out of my comfort zone and explore new avenues of expertise."

"I was able to see things in my subject matter that I didn't see before.  The assignments helped me to stretch myself as a photographer and try some new things and to try new subject matter."

"Seeing others work and reading what Noella had to say, showed me there are so many different "eyes" out there and no one is wrong, we all express ourselves so differently and it is wonderful. Therefore, it caused me to look at several things, to branch out and to not just look at what I was comfortable, to view my world from all angles."
