Plan B

By Andy Long

Only a little bit of color is needed if placed in the right spot.

Intimate landscapes only need a few leaves with color to make interesting shots.

Using a mylar-lined Pringle’s tube can open a new door to wildflower photography.

Try a long exposure and pan across and small batch of flowers that have some different colors in the frame

Using a zoom with a wide range go to f/32 and zoom back and forth to create abstracts.

Even if the fields aren’t profuse, make use of what is available

Work lots of single flowers, finding interesting angles and compositions
