Pupfish - The desert pupfish were the only fish to survive the evaporation of Lake Manly in ancient times. Lake Manly was a fresh water lake that evaporated as the climate changed. And as it evaporated, it became more and more salty. These fish survived and changed with their changing habitat.
Tracks - Visitors and locals gather on the sand dunes. The tracks of man along with the small rodent tracks of perhaps a canyon mouse climb the same sand dune ... but not at the same time.
Patterns - In the sand dunes there are many wind patterns and facinating areas of ripples. Using a long lens, I like to see how abstract I can make one of mother nature's designs.
