Contests
where the theme is a color always brings out the best in
entrants' photography. In the past we have done yellow, purple
and red. This contest, "Blue", was no different with superb
entries coming from all over the world.
We chose John
Snider's "Snuggle" as the grand prize winner this month.
Snider did a great job of demonstrating the theme as well as
coming up with a winning, eye-catching composition.
Snider wins
The

Coming in
very close behind Snider was "Ladder"
by Hezi Holtsman. Holtzman showed a creative example of the
theme, "Blue", and the composition was especially strong. The
shadow the man on the ladder casts across the blue wall really
makes this photo.

In the Second
Runner-up position was "Feelings
of Depression" by T. Alan Kirk.
What we especially liked
about this image is that it captured more than the obvious
meaning of the word "Blue". A good composition, some skillful
imaging editing, and a good concept makes this image stand out.
Kirk
will receive one year subscription to
The Art List.
