        <p><font face="Georgia">The bobcat is distinguished from the lynx and
        other North American cats by the black marking only on the top of its stubby tail. Short ear tuffs are
        present but not conspicuous. The bobcat is normally carnivorous eating<br>
        primarily small rodents and birds. It is commonly found in chaparral,
        piņon-juniper forests in the mid to low elevations.</font></p>
