Tip of the Week

Title slides are great for slide shows. With a double exposure you can add a title to any image, right in the field. You can create your titles with white rub-down letters (like Letraset) found in most graphic arts stores. Lay out your letters on a flat black 11x14 matt board. After shooting any landscape or scene with a dark area in the place you want to add a title, just double-expose and shoot the title board with your close-up lens. Be sure to take a substitute reading off a gray card before shooting the black title board. With a computer and a laser printer you can create some very professional title slides, especially if your page layout program allows you to reverse type and print white letters on a solid black background.
