A 3/8" 16-thread "J" bolt screwed into the bottom of the center column of a GITZO is a great place to hang a camera bag to stabilize a tripod in a wind. A large "S" hook threaded through the holes in the bottom of the center column of a BOGEN 3021 tripod will do the same thing.
