Tip of the Week

Keep a plastic clothes pin in the side pocket of your camera bag. It will hold a dark cloth from slipping off a view camera, it can be used to keep a map from slipping off the seat of your car, and it will hold a reflector to the leg of your tripod. Along with a roll of black masking tape, the plastic clothes pin is a necessary accessory in any camera bag. A few of those dark-green garbage bag twist-ties are perfect for hold weeds away from a wildflower when doing macro photography. They can hold tree branches away from your lens. A plastic clothes pin will show up in your photo but a thin green wire can be easily hidden.
