"Peel"

'The image is that of a banana peel which was tossed carelessly to the ground by one of the many spectators at this year's New York City Marathon. I was in attendance hoping to catch a glimpse of a friend who was competing, when the peel landed on the cobblestone sidewalk at my feet. I decided to photograph it."

MF: I saved this for last, not because it was any less that the others, but because of the force it had. This is a beautiful picture of a tossed away item. It shows us that we can find photographs in the most surprising places and that we should not be afraid to look beyond the obvious. It is very appropriate to our theme as well. Need I say more.
