by Michael Goldstein

The Marshall Point Light was built in 1823 of
rubblestone, and marks the south entrance to Port Clyde Harbor. The
use of a wide-angle lens ensured focus from the toes to the
horizon, while lying prone on the lighthouse approaches. This
achieved perfect symmetry, for this late-afternoon photograph.
