Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures
April 10-14, 2016:  Springtime on the Outer Banks

The Outer Banks is right in our own back yard. We'll show you special gems along this untamed coastline we love so well. The sunrises and sunsets can be spectacular; and there may be opportunities for night skies. Add patterns along the seashore, the sights and sounds of the wild Atlantic pounding the coast, gardens, dunes, and small fishing co-ops where we have permission to photograph.  You'll love it here! ...

Bill & Linda Lane and Nature's Image Photography Field Workshops
April 11-15, 2016: Spring in the Great Smoky Mountains, TN
This 5 day workshop evolves around the most spectacular time for spring wildflowers and scenics in the Smoky Mts.  The variety of subjects makes for something for everyone and their one on one field work ensures everyone will leave with more knowledge than when they arrived.  The spring colors are so vivid they almost make it appear as fall.  The Lanes conduct 3 to 5 day field workshops in 7 eastern states. They specialize in the east, not only because of its beauty, but they also have a home in both West Virginia and Virginia--all the better for knowing when and where to lead photo enthusiasts. Their workshops are full of fun and challenge, good food, sharing and camaraderie.

April 27-30, 2016: Macros, Wildflowers & Scenics in Cass, West Virginia
Let us take you to a different part of West Virginia;  still around the Greenbrier River and Monongahela National Forest and removed from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Let us share why we so love the area. You owe it to yourself to see West Virginia in all of its seasonal glory; Spring is no exception. In these mountains the bugs are few and the nights are cool. We’ll have wildflowers mixed in with scenics so numerous we never make it to all those on the agenda. We will photograph along the Greenbrier River Trail, The Cass Railroad and its town, the scenic highway, the glades, waterfalls, barns, and all around the surrounding towns, taking advantage of every ‘photo op’ we can find!

Bill & Linda Lane and Nature's Image Photography Field Workshops
June 3-5, 2016: Tangier Island off the Eastern Shore of VA
This wonderful island in the Chesapeake Bay has been described as an island out of time.  It lends itself to a unique learning experience for all levels of photographer. Known as the soft shell crab capital of the world, it is one of the last places of its kind in the east. Life is not easy for the islanders, but it is the life they love and struggle to maintain. So who knows how much longer this island out of time will remain. Photo opportunities include: the waterfront, working watermen, their gear and vessels, a fast fading fishing community, marsh scenics, birds, dry-dock/graveyard for working vessels, sunrises and sunsets, the beach, abstracts…You’ll have a chance to record islanders living life as they have for generations and note how modern times are threatening it.

June 5-21, 2016:  Ultimate Kenya Safari
Always my absolute favorite, especially in early summer, after the long rains, when it’s cool and green. This is the only tour I do every year, staying several days in each of the best reserves for wildlife-viewing, which means less moving from place to place, thus more game drives — which is, after all, why you’re booking an African safari. Includes 22 game drives from three luxury tented camps. Excellent wildlife sightings guaranteed — and usually only three to a car!
