Bill & Linda Lane and Nature's Image Photography Field Workshops
2015: Summer Wildflowers and Scenic in WV
When a place is as wonderful as West Virginia you owe it to yourself to see it in all of its seasonal glory--every season and summer is no exception.   Glorious Flowers in a Glorious Place - can't get much better.  So here we are again in a different season in a different area of West Virginia. In these mountains the bugs are few and the nighttimes cool. There is an abundance of wildflowers mixed in with scenics so numerous we never make it to all those on the agenda. The wildflowers enhance other ph otographic opportunities, stand alone against uninterrupted glory and/or make for fantastic macro work; placed in the foreground and photographed with a wide angle they create depth within the photo. We will shoot along the Greenbrier River Trail, the scenic highway, the glades, waterfalls, barns, all around town and surrounding towns. For those of you who know us, you know we will take advantage of every 'photo op' we can find! And even though we provide most of the meals, food comes second to capturing good light.

In Focus with Michele Burgess
July 11-26, 2015:  Faroe Islands, Iceland, and Greenland

Midway between Norway and Iceland, the Faroes rise from the Atlantic like a hardy little flower. There are steep cliffs, narrow straits between islands, natural harbors surrounded by small villages, countless birds. It’s a nation of 18 small islands, 17 of which are inhabited by fewer than 50,000 people. Due to the geographic location, the Faroese have preserved their own culture and language, rooted in the Old Norse language from the Viking age. Iceland is a land of hot springs and geysers, volcanoes and waterfalls. We’ll tour Reykjavik and the Golden Circle, then explore along the southern ring road, photographing quaint turf houses, towering waterfalls, volcanic cliffs, and the lovely iceberg lagoon at Jokulsarlon. In Greenland, the little town of Ilulissat's setting on Disko Bay next to an ice fjord is stunning, with enormous year-round icebergs calved from the most mighty and productive glacier in the northern hemisphere.

Nomad Photo Expeditions
Extraordinary photographic experiences With  Harry Fisch, winner (later disqualified) of the "Places" category 2012 National Geographic World  Photo Contest and 2013 finalist at  the Sony World Photography Awards.

Everybody can participate, but the photographic passion  is essential. The aim of our photographic journeys is to develop photographic abilities and a personal vision to create emotionally charged images that come to express the particular viewpoint of each participant.
