Leaving Frankfort, Michigan one chilly morning
in August, I drove past a little boat dock on
Lake Michigan.  It was totally covered in fog.  I

did a second take and a u-turn back in the
parking lot.  My wife thought I was nuts as I ran
to the foggy area; at the time all you could see
was the white-grey color of early morning.  While
I stood facing the nothingness, I said, "Wait,  just
wait!"  And sure enough the fog lifted a bit so you
could see the silhouettes of the sailboats at anchor.
