What Is Jim’s Background?
Jim Austin M.A, is a photographer, teacher and published author. He is a member of the Society For Photographic Education and previously taught photography and digital imaging at Colorado University.
Jim has been a featured author on Apogee Photo Magazine for over 10 years.
His images have been exhibited in Smithsonian History Museum, Kaoya Gallery, Denver Art Museum, amongst others. He is the author of several books on photography.
How does Jim’s Course Differ from Other Online Courses?
Unlike other (impersonal) online courses, which simply present you with a couple of videos and then you’re on your own; Jim’s one-to-one coaching provides personalized, goal-oriented, skill building.
You will both work closely together on practical assignments to fine tune your workflow, using YOUR OWN images.
For instance, one session is on ‘Imagining Your Most Creative Image’. Unlike watching a video, we emphasize photo experience, and learning by direct “hands on” fun assignments, that fit your needs.
Working closely together, you will discuss your needs and design visual projects.
You can communicate by phone, on social media and by email. The choice is yours.

The sessions are geared to fit your schedule. 8 or 16 sessions are available, totally flexible to your schedule.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and you can connect for lessons once a week, bi-weekly or monthly. The choice is yours!
